October 2012 is like, the month of update heaven. Let’s see:
Raspbmc released RC5
OpenELEC released version 2.0
Canonical is releasing Ubuntu’s Quantal Quetzal version 12.10 tomorrow
And my Nexus S just got a minor update to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (from 4.1.1) today.
What is it about October 2012 anyway??
Let’s see: Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is a minor update, hence the tiny incremental change from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. What’s new in this version? Well, like I pointed out, not much.
Paraphrasing from Wikipedia, here’s what’s new in 4.1.2:
- Lock/home screen rotation support for the Nexus 7
- Single-finger gestures to expand or collapse notifications
- Some bug fixes and tweaks for better performance
Alright, that was closer to copying than paraphrasing. I did cite the source, so take off the handcuffs. Thank you.
Updates are fun. Up next: Key Lime Pie?
